Tearing your ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) is one of the most common sports knee injuries plaguing athletes like you. Jaypee Greens, a division of Jaiprakash Associates Ltd, has launched an integrated sports city project on the Yamuna Expressway in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. Spread across an area of 2,500 acres, the Jaypee Greens Sports City will feature luxurious villas and apartments, state-of-the-art sports facilities and a modern business district. The master plan for the project has been prepared by UK-based WATG, a globally acclaimed design consultant. "This is one of the largest real estate projects in north India," Vibhor Gupta, Assistant General Manager (Marketing), Jaiprakash Associates Ltd, told Projectmonitor. "The Sports City will offer the best in urban living. It is a unique model of real estate and is aimed at connecting life to sports," he added. Tennis elbow, or lateral epicondylitis, is a common elbow injury of racket sport players and manual laborers. Tennis elbow is an overuse injury resulting from the performance of repetitive motions with the hand and forearm, such as swinging a tennis racket or a hammer. Such repetitive motions can cause inflammation of the muscles of the forearm. The symptoms of tennis elbow include pain, soreness, and weakness in the muscles on the outside of the forearm. The treatment of tennis elbow is usually conservative, relying on rest, ice, and anti-inflammatory medication.
When attempting to diagnosis tennis elbow, a doctor or physical therapist will test for tenderness on or near the bony knob of the elbow joint.
